Abha Guggulu is polyherbal Ayurvedic medicine. Its preparation and administration are described in Bhaisajya Ratnavali. The main ingredients of this medicine are Abha and Guggul. Abha is Ayurvedic name of babul or Acacia arabica. The stem bark of babbula is used in preparation of this medicine. The other ingredients are Triphala, Trikatu and ghee. For preparing Abha Guggulu, one part of each of Babul bark, triphala and trikatu are taken. These are pounded with seven part guggulu and ghee. Then pills of size 500 mg are rolled. Uses of Abha Guggul

Abha Guggulu is indicated in fractures and sprain. Its intake helps in better healing of fracture. Abha Guggulu has significant anti-inflammatory and pain relieving effects. It gives relief in swelling, pain and other symptoms. It treats related disorders such as fever, urine retention, difficult berating etc.

Dosage of Abha Guggul

Abha Guggulu is a highly effective medicine for relieving pain and swelling due to fracture. The recommended dosage of Abha Guggul is 2-4 tablets twice a day for 15 to 45 days. The Anupan (fluid vehicle or drink with medicine) for Abha Guggul is hot water or milk. Or take as directed by physician.
